Meet the Providers

Aamir Raza, MD

Dr. Raza graduated from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, in 1989. He was accepted at Washington University School of Medicine in 1993 for his psychiatry residency. After completing this residency in 1997 he joined a private practice in general psychiatry in Ridgeland, Mississippi. Since then he has been affiliated with Central Mississippi Medical Center where he served as medical director for psychiatric services from 1999 to 2013. He also served as medical director of the geriatric psychiatry program at Crossgates River Oaks Hospital. He now practices inpatient psychiatry at Brentwood Behavioral Health and also serves there as the medical director of the Compass Intensive Outpatient Program. He enjoys taking care of patients of all ages with all psychiatric disorders. He currently sees children, adolescents, adults, and seniors with psychiatric disorders that include attention deficit disorder, major depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, Alzheimer’s Dementia, bipolar disorders, and psychotic disorders. Danny Vining, PMH-NP
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Danny graduated nursing school at University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, in 1996. He obtained his Masters degree in Nursing as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in 2009 from the University of Southern Mississippi. Since 1999 he has held a variety of roles on general psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, and dual diagnosis-addiction disorders units. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner Danny served as Nurse Manager for Behavioral Health Services at Central Mississippi Medical Center. Danny is board certified as a psychiatric nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. He has practiced in a general psychiatry practice with Dr. Raza since 2010. He enjoys working with adolescents, adults, and seniors with a variety of psychiatric disorders including attention deficit disorders, depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorders, psychotic disorders, and substance use disorders. Danny is currently completing his PhD at the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Nursing in Jackson, Mississippi. We look forward to serving your mental healthcare needs. LaKeisha Green, PMHNP-BC, MA
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
LaKeisha began her career as a mental health case manager in 2002 after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi.  Since 2005, she has held several faculty appointments in behavioral science, and continues to serve adjunctively at colleges in Mississippi and Louisiana.  LaKeisha graduated from nursing school in 2011 from William Carey University in New Orleans, and has since continued her work in various mental health settings, including chemical dependency, and inpatient psychiatry.  She is dually-mastered prepared in sociology, and in psychiatric/mental health nursing, with graduate degrees from Jackson State University, and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, respectively.  LaKeisha is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center to treat individuals of all ages who suffer from behavioral and emotional problems, including, but not limited to, depression, psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, oppositional defiant disorder, and mood disorders.  She is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.  LaKeisha enjoys, and looks forward to educating and treating children, adolescents, and adults with various mental healthcare needs.  Please call to schedule an appointment.

Steven Stafford, MS, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor

Steven is a 1998 (BS) and 2001 (MS) graduate of Mississippi College.  Steven received his Master's in Counseling Psychology in 2001.  He became a Licensed Professional Counselor in November of 2002.  Steven is also a Board Approved Supervisor through the Mississippi Board of Examiners for Licensed Professional Counselors.  Steven has worked in a variety of mental health settings that include inpatient acute psychiatric care, residential psychiatric care, community mental health, Intensive Outpatient Programs, Day Treatment Programs, Intake and Assessment, Chemical Dependency, and Private Practice.  
Steven serves as a Past-President of the Mississippi Licensed Professional Counselors Association.  He is an appointed Board Member for Southern Christian Services.  Additionally, Steven serves as a Deacon, Mission Team member, and Financial Committee member at Ridgecrest Baptist Church.
Steven works with children, adolescents, and adults in addressing a variety of life situations.  He has over fourteen years of experience addressing problems such as anxiety, depression, anger issues, and substance abuse.  Through Steven’s experience he draws on a variety of therapeutic techniques to help clients transition from problematic situations to a stable and healthy lifestyle. 
Drew Jackson, MS, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Drew Jackson is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned his BA from Colorado State University and a Master of Science Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Mississippi College.  He has practiced in the Metro Jackson area working in group/private practice, as well as, both inpatient and outpatient clinical settings.  Drew has served as a Program Director for both Adolescent/Young Adult Dual-Diagnosis and Adult Psychiatric Intensive Outpatient Programs.  He is the former Editorial Assistant for the Journal of Counseling Research and Practice. He is a member of the Mississippi Counseling Association, as well as, a former Emerging Leader.  Drew currently serves as the President of the Mississippi Licensed Professional Counselors Association.  
Drew works with adolescents, young adults, and adults facing a variety of life difficulties.  Drawing from his academic, professional, and personal experiences with anxiety, depression, and substance abuse, Drew uses a unique and holistic approach to counseling integrating a variety of therapeutic approaches to therapy.  He enjoys working with clients struggling to make sense of the world, discover a sense of purpose and meaning, and find ways to live a satisfying, fulfilling life.  He is experienced in treating people facing mental health and substance abuse issues.  He strives to works with clients to successfully navigate difficult transitions, let go of the past, and move towards a positive and healthy life.
